  We had not planned an overnight in Cooktown, but we were late in, and after a few questions to locals the recommendation was Seaview Motel. The room was a motel room, pleasant and clean, but showing signs of age. The redeeming factor was the view, and the proximity to town..we walked to dinner as there was no restaurant..aircon worked well, bed comfortable. The signs through the room reminded me of the 60s protest song!!!...

  Very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a deluxe room that had recently been renovated. Great views of the river.

  Room was simple but clean, comfortable and well maintained though air conditioner struggled a little with the summer heat. Nice view over the water. Pool was good for an afternoon swim, and was also clean and well maintained.

  Room in was an older one dripping taps noisey fan, older appliances etc but clean and comfortable with great view from outside sitting area at front of room.

  Pleasant staff. Clean, tidy rooms. Comfy beds. What else could you ask of a motel.
